We aim to help you make your first realistic drawing with The Value Scale Method, Mirror Technique, and 3D Construction.
It starts with the first 2-3 weeks. Where our goal is to complete your first realistic drawing with 3 core components:
- The Value Scale Method
The value scale that teaches you where shapes come from and how values create depth. This is the foundation that transforms flat marks into dimensional art.
- Mirror Technique
My step-by-step "I show you, you follow" approach where you mirror my exact movements and techniques. I review your work and don't move forward until everyone grasps the concept.
- 3D Construction
How I guide you from flat 2D shapes to realistic 3D forms with proper depth and dimension. This is where your drawings start looking truly realistic.
Our goal in the first 2-3 weeks is to complete your first realistic drawing into something you're proud to show friends within 3 months.
At this point you are ready to immerse into painting techniques and start creating art.
You either:
- Continue developing advanced techniques like oil painting, watercolors, acrylics, and mixed media.
- Or enjoy the confidence of being someone who can actually draw - showing friends and family art you created with your own hands.

TIMELINE TO THE FIRST PART OT THE PROGRAM (REALISTIC DRAWING)
You'll receive live weekly instruction and personal guidance for 3 things:
Phase 1 (Shape Foundation):
● The Value Scale Method (see values and depth) ● Your first simple drawing project ● Step-by-step foundation to your breakthrough
Phase 2 (Form Development): Complete your first realistic drawing. Add 3D Construction for dimension and depth. You get: ● Live weekly classes with personal attention ● 20 years of experience guiding you step-by-step ● In-person and virtual options
Phase 3 (Realistic Mastery): The Value Scale Method, Mirror Technique, and 3D Construction combine. You can now draw anything realistically. Choose to either: ● Continue with advanced techniques (oil, watercolor, acrylics, mixed media) ● Enjoy the confidence of creating art with your own hands
Time To Realistic Drawing: In 2-3 weeks, expect your first completed realistic drawing with all 3 core components working together.
How your classes work:

Step 1: Choose Your Format Select either virtual (via Zoom) or in-person classes based on what works best for you.
Step 2: Pick Your Schedule Choose the day that fits your life. Classes meet once a week for 1.5 hours of focused instruction.
Step 3: Prepare Your Materials You'll receive a simple materials list before your first class. Everything will be ready when you arrive.
Step 4: Learn Live with Personal Guidance Your instructor teaches live — not through pre-recorded videos. You'll receive real-time feedback and personal attention as you work. We have small classes for more personalized attention to each of our students.
Step 5: Create Together with our mirror technique Follow along step-by-step as your art instructor demonstrates each technique. You'll work at a comfortable pace alongside other students, building skills with every session.
Step 6: Experience the Transformation Watch your confidence grow as your drawings improve week after week. You'll be amazed at what you create.

About Verónica Lascurain
Verónica Lascurain is an artist, interior designer, speaker, and mentor to creatives. Her work reflects a fusion of influences — from cubism to contemporary abstraction — all expressed through bold, vibrant color.
She's spent over 25 years creating art and nearly two decades teaching students of all ages. In 2007, she launched Living Colors Arts and Development. In 2019, she founded Academia Integral de Arte (AIA), which now teaches students worldwide through both in-person and online programs. She's also shared her insights on creativity, growth, and building creative businesses through speaking engagements.
Verónica's mission is to help artists thrive. She wants them to believe in their potential, share their unique gifts with confidence, and break free from the myth that artists can't make a living doing what they love.
